Harold L. Sirkin – SVP, Leading Global Operations and E-commerce for Boston Consulting Group


Hal Sirkin joined The Boston Consulting Group in 1981 and is a senior vice president in BCG’s Chicago office. He leads the firm’s Global Operations and E-commerce practice. Prior to leading the Global Operations and E-Commerce practice, he led BCG’s Information Technology practice.

Mr. Sirkin has extensive experience in industries including: banking, insurance, brokerage, airlines, CRS, industrial goods, consumer goods, automotive parts, luxury goods, energy, transportation services, and high technology equipment.

He also has deep experience in North America, Europe and Asia in a wide range of operational issues including: supply chain management, new product development, value based cost reduction, channel management, customer segmentation, business performance management, procurement, asset productivity, manufacturing effectiveness, innovation-to-cash as well as extensive e-commerce experience.

Mr. Sirkin is widely quoted in the press on operations, e-commerce and technology issues and has had many publications in periodicals such as the Harvard Business Review, Industry Week, and the Journal of Business Strategy.

Mr. Sirkin holds an MBA from the University of Chicago (first in class) and a BS in accounting and finance (summa cum laude) from the Wharton School. He is a CPA.
