James P. Bramante – Global and Americas Leader of Financial Management at IBM BCS


Jim Bramante is the Global and Americas leader of the Financial Management practice within IBM Business Consulting Services. The practice, which includes more than 6,000 practitioners worldwide, focuses on strategy through implementation for the finance value chain: core services setting the transformation agenda, organizational design, process re-engineering, application implementation, business intelligence and post merger integration. In addition, he leads an internal IBM Business Consulting Services initiative to transform business operations.

Jim has more than twenty years of industry and consulting experience working with leading global companies such as Air Products & Chemicals, Rohm & Haas, AT&T, H.J. Heinz, Pharmacia, Bristol Myers Squibb, Schlumberger and PECO Energy. His client focus has been on business transformation driven through the partnership of finance and business operations.

Jim is co-author of the book eCFO—Sustaining Value in the New Corporation, a member of the Board of Editors for the "Journal of Cost Management," and a frequent speaker on the topics of Finance Transformation, Cost Management and Performance Measurement.

In addition to his experience with the Financial Management practice, Jim was the CFO of PwC Consulting in the Americas, and was part of the organization’s Executive Committee. In this role he led a major global restructuring and was key member of the team that led the spin-off of the firm’s consulting division. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Bramante worked for Owens Corning Fiberglas in both Finance and Operations.
