Robert Heath received his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and is Director of the Wireless Networking and Communications Group. He is also President and CEO of MIMO Wireless Inc. and Chief Innovation Officer at Kuma Signals LLC. Dr. Heath is an innovator in the fields of wireless communications and signal processing, a field in which he has published more than 300 refereed conference and journal papers, received several best paper awards, and has 50 issued US patents. His research has been sponsored by many companies including Samsung, Motorola, Qualcomm, Freescale, Boeing, Huawei, CommScope, and Dell, as well as the National Science Foundation, Army Research Labs, Naval Research Labs, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
