Christian Garcia – Sr. Director, Corporate Planning & Performance, Halliburton


Christian Garcia is Senior Director, Corporate Planning and Performance Management for the Halliburton Company since January 2005. In this role, he is responsible for long-term planning and forecasting, financial modeling, capital allocation process, and the identification of key performance metrics that drive value across the organization. He is currently in the process of designing a corporate performance management framework for the Energy Services Group at Halliburton that would better align the group’s operations with its strategies.

Previously, Christian was the Vice President, Finance and Administration for Landmark Graphics (a wholly-owned business unit of Halliburton), a leading supplier of software and services to the oil and gas industry. At Landmark Graphics, he held progressively responsible roles in various controllership and treasury functions. He served as Landmark’s Finance Director for Europe, Africa, and Middle East based in Weybridge, England in 1996. He joined the company as Treasury Manager where he assembled and negotiated a $100 million syndicated credit facility. Prior to Landmark, Christian worked for Proquest Company (formerly “Bell and Howell”) in Chicago where his last position was Controller for the company’s Document Management Products Division.

Christian has a master’s degree in business from Purdue University. A native of the Philippines, he is active in various charitable organizations in improving housing and childcare in that country. He and his wife, Marita, have two children.
